Designed for long days in the alpine that toe the line between running and scrambling, the Distance 22 is a hybrid pack that can carry all the essentials without holding you back. With a hybrid design that includes vest-inspired suspension for running, the Distance 22 combines lightweight and comfortable running technology with ample extra storage for mountain endeavors. The Distance 22 is fully equipped with Z-Pole storage that’s easy to deploy on the go, plus dual piolet carry options.

Custom developed UHMWPE (Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) ripstop body fabric weaves dyneema - the same material used in BD climbing dogbones - into the material, making it abrasion resistant and durable without adding extra weight.

Built with an entirely unique harness system that moves with you. Stretch-woven “wings” extend from the back panel along the sides to provide a secure and chafe-free fit. Easy to use Z-Pole storage can be deployed on the move, while dual side compression allows you to modify carry capacity as you go. The pack is made with BD SETT (Stitchless Edge Taping Technology) that improves fit, comfort and durability on the move. The Distance 8 has an internal zip pocket to keep your essentials separate from the kit in your main carrying compartment. Side stretch stash pockets, two flask compatible pockets on the shoulder straps and a single zip pocket on the shoulder strap keep all your essentials close to hand.
